AI mockups: how to see your finished brand before printing

Mockups for a brand used to take me 3 to 5 days; today I have them in 1 or 2. This is how I use artificial intelligence so clients can see their brand on boxes, jars and even a storefront, and decide with confidence.

In short

  • With AI, I go from 3–5 days to 1–2 days to have a brand's mockups ready.
  • AI does not design the brand: the identity comes first and the scenes come after.
  • Every scene reflects where and to whom the product will be sold.
  • AI makes mistakes, such as changing the logo: everything is reviewed before it is shown.

When I present a brand identity, the client does not need to see a logo on a white background: they need to imagine their brand alive, on the shelf, in a buyer's hand or on their storefront. That is what mockups are for: images that show how the brand will look on real products and spaces.

Before and now

Getting the mockups for a brand used to easily take me 3 to 5 days. I searched for a template that showed what I wanted; if it did not exist, I had to find something similar and adapt it, or build it from scratch. Today, with artificial intelligence, the same work takes me 1 to 2 days, and every scene is tailored to the project instead of being a template everyone has already seen.

The best example is Armonía, a premium yet affordable herbal tea brand I designed in early 2026.

1. Identity first, AI second

AI does not design the brand. The concept, logo, palette and typography come from the client's brief and the design work. For Armonía, the client only had the name and wanted an elegant, natural and affordable brand; that led to an A sprouting stems and leaves, a forest green and cream palette, and a classic-inspired typeface. Only once that system was ready did I move on to the mockups.

2. Scenes designed around the business

Each scene answers a client question: how does it look in a store? In a business meeting? In a consumer's home? Armonía wanted to sell both to companies and to everyday consumers, so the scenes showed boxes, kraft pouches, jars, stationery with a wax seal, business cards, a tea moment with a cup and a storefront.

3. Several tools, one standard

I do not use a single AI. I combine different tools, such as Mixboard, Gemini and Stitch, among others, because each one handles a certain kind of scene better. What does not change is the standard: the brand has to look the same in every image, with its colors, its logo and its personality.

4. Review every detail

A generated image can look spectacular and still contain errors. Sometimes the AI changes the product's logo, or the composition does not look natural. That is why I review every mockup before presenting it, with the same standard as a printed piece, and I fix or regenerate whatever does not meet it.

  • That the logo does not change or get distorted.
  • That the composition looks natural: light, shadows and perspective.
  • That the colors match the brand palette.
  • That no invented letters or meaningless text appear.
  • That materials and settings fit the price point and the audience.

5. Decide with confidence

When the Armonía client saw the mockups, they were fascinated: they could see their complete brand before investing in production and approve it with peace of mind. Today Armonía uses its brand on its products, and the system is ready to add new flavors.
